Scott Brown set for first appearance after Celtic departure

Scott Brown looks set to make his first public appearance since leaving Celtic by working as a pundit on the ITV coverage of the Euros this summer. The 35-year-old brought down the curtain on his illustrious 14-year career in the draw against Hibs at Easter Road and will join Aberdeen as a player-coach next season.

Brown will join up with former Celtic midfielders John Collins, Joe Ledley and Roy Keane along with familiar faces Gary Neville and Ally McCoist. Brown will be watching Steve Clarke’s side as they look to make their way through their group with England, Croatia and the Czech Republic offering up the opponents to the Tartan Army.

After 22 trophies with Celtic, Brown leaves Celtic to reunite with his former Hibernian teammate Stephen Glass at Aberdeen. The deal offers him some security as it is a two-year deal which encapsulate both playing and coaching, which for a soon to be 36-year-old is highly desirable. You would not rule out seeing the player return to Celtic in a managerial capacity at some point in the next few years.
