2021 Valspar Championship tee times, TV coverage, viewer’s guide

The Valspar Championship, the final Florida event of the 2020-21 PGA Tour season, will feature 10 of the top 30 golfers in the world and Paul Casey’s chase for history.

The 43-year-old Englishman is looking for a third straight victory at Innisbrook Resort outside Tampa after becoming the first repeat winner in tournament history when he won in 2018 and 2019. (The 2020 event was canceled due to COVID.) Only 10 times since World War II has a golfer gone back-to-back-to-back in a tour event, Tiger Woods doing it six times on his own.

Casey won both Valspar Championships by a single shot, holding off Tiger Woods and Patrick Reed in 2018 and then Jason Kokrak and Louis Oosthuizen in 2019. He’ll be up against a strong field this time that features World No. 1 Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas and Phil Mickelson. This is Lefty’s first time teeing it up at this event since 2004.

The winner of this event will receive 500 FedEx Cup points and a $1.242 million share of the $6.9 million purse.

Golf Channel will carry live coverage on Thursday and Friday from 2-6 p.m. EDT.
